We were recently gifted with a beautiful 1920’s wedding dress, veil & shoes. It had been stored in an ordinary cardboard box w/regular tissue paper. Once we’ve examined it, she will be properly stored for a future exhibit. This is what happens when you wrap silk in regular tissue

Today's #funFridayfind is a chair from the original Madison Clinic which opened Jan. 1, 1950. At the helm were doctors Lewis Jolly, Robert Zink, Jackson Modisett & Marcella Modisett. Many a former patient remembers waiting on these chairs to see the doctor. #Archives

Today's #funFridayFind is a pinwheel calculating machine invented by Otto P. Schuman who founded the Rapid Calculator Company in 1919. Many calculating machines were used by insurance companies.

this week's #funFridayfind is an invention by Thomas Edison. Blue Amberol Records was the trademark name for cylinder records manufactured by Thomas A. Edison, Inc. in the US from 1912 to 1929. Edison brand phonographs designed to play Amberol cylinders were named Amberolas.
