I don’t ever scroll through my followers list, but I did today and saw that quite a few of my former students and athletes have followed my account. If any of you see this, I hope you all are doing great things and enjoying all life has to offer. It was an honor to teach you.
Our @HumbleISD_RMS 8th graders showed out on their end of year history project. The “Revolution, Reaction, & Reform” theme gave students a lot of choice on topics they wanted to learn more about & present via Trifolds, Podcasts, Newspapers, etc. #DoingSocialStudies@humble_SocSt
Couldn’t be more excited for @_CoachNupe and @KHSMustangFBall One of the best I’ve ever worked with. I’m beyond thrilled that my son will get to play for a leader of his caliber. Let’s go coach!
Congratulations Kennedy! We are excited to get to see you play one more year in KHS blue and white and then watch you do big things in Aggie Maroon and White! Gig ‘Em!👍

On January 10, 1776, English-born writer Thomas Paine published one of the most influential pieces of writing in early American history: his pamphlet Common Sense.
Rather than dense political argument, Paine chose plain, passionate language to make a bold case for separation from Great Britain. It reached everyday colonists, was read aloud in taverns and public spaces, and helped shift opinion toward complete independence at a time when many still hoped for reconciliation.
In just 47 pages, he argued:
British rule was no longer beneficial
Monarchy was a failed system
Self-government was not only possible but essential
His words didn’t just influence elite delegates; they sparked a movement that made independence more than an idea; it made it inevitable.
🎉Congrats to @AnthisRMS for being nominated for RMS Teacher of the Year two years in a row! He is a great representative of our Social Studies department. He exudes selfless service, is a tremendous mentor to our 6th grade team, & a campus leader for instructional improvement.
Our @HumbleISD_RMS Social Studies team dove into 3rd 9 Weeks curriculum during our PLC. There was a lot of impactful discussion as we internalized the units, identified imperative concepts, skills, & common misconceptions and how to support student learning.

Our @HumbleISD_RMS 7th TX History students worked w/ Visual Non Glossary today to introduce & discuss the role of empresarios in the Mexican National era. Always fun to see kids actively engaged and eager to participate in discussion.

@HumbleISD_RMS 8th graders received their own pocket constitution to celebrate Constitution Day. They examined the articles & amendments to reflect on the rights and freedoms protected by the Constitution that was sent to the states for approval 238 years ago today. @humble_SocSt
Our @HumbleISD_RMS 7th TX Hist team began their Spanish Colonization unit by making observations of primary/secondary sources & drawing conclusions to spark discussion. It was great to see them turn around a PL they attended in August & apply their own learning. @humble_SocSt
