Probably the only place on Twitter and YouTube that you can enjoy a chat about history and beer...interspersed with the odd knob gag

@WW2TV here having to explain to morons that the Second World War was not fought solely by straight white men. And, more fundamentally, that after the war, those who aren’t straight white men are still allowed to be experts in this field.
Keep it up Paul. It’s a great channel.
1 Some observations about the guests I invite and the subjects covered on WW2TV.
- Female guests get substantially more "down votes" than male guests.
- Shows with a non-white guest get fewer views.
- A female person of colour guest gets even fewer views.
Two complaints about The Hundred:
1) The team names are somewhat immature/silly
2) Flashing the words “oh yeah!” Whenever someone hits a six is endlessly irritating.
All this being said, cricket on terrestrial TV is very welcome indeed.

An excellent new initiative launching today, we encourage you all to get behind @ZwhiteHistory and @mcribbHistory and support this new undertaking. We certainly will be.
Give them a follow below...
On the 209th anniversary of the Battle of Salamanca, we, the Napoleonic & Revolutionary War Graves Charity, are proud to unveil our aims as a charity to honour the war dead, of all nationalities, from the period 1775-1815. We seek to do this in three ways. 1/
@mcribbHistory You’ve made a mistake here Marcus I’m afraid.
Wellington only fought defensive battles.
Maybe someone else was in command? Simmerson perhaps?
@cluelesspegg Sam would agree with you completely. He’s of the opinion that pandering to people who can’t deal with counting up to 6 is a waste of time.
That being said, despite its clear ‘futileness’ bringing people to the sport must be good in the long run?
The greatest novel on the Napoleonic era? After two rounds of voting, the top four are championed by @Bookish_Rachael @glewis92 @Strategyforwar1 & @mcribbHistory in the latest episode of the Napoleonicist.

@ZwhiteHistory@Bookish_Rachael @glewis92 @Strategyforwar1 @mcribbHistory I really rated the Simon Scarrow quartet for easy and enjoyable reading in that period.
But from this list, it’s no contest for me. Only one of these has a Daniel Hagman soundtrack...
@MoseleyMAJ @BenJSkipper @AndyAitcheson I must say I find the soggy cold cake aspect of trifle far more distressing than the cold custard.
Cold custard is great and a solid donut filling
@mcribbHistory@LandOfHistory@ZwhiteHistory We did a video a while back called “was Napoleon a Git?”
Suspect you can guess the outcome.
But it was the only video we have done so far that got actual objections to it.
I’m amazed people aren’t full of conviction that he was a menace.
Is it just us that considers it bonkers that footballers continued insistency on spitting on the pitch (and live TV) isn’t objected to more?
Pretty grim is it not?
