Had such a brilliant time with Y10 on the Battlefields trip. They were fun, thoughtful and engaged. How lucky I feel to have spent time in their company thinking about the sacrifice made by so many. @WimbledonHigh@History_WHS
It’s raining just a little here in Belgium on the Battlefields trip…but we’re learning and commemorating, and smiling through the torrent @WimbledonHigh@History_WHS @gdst

Berlin it has been a while and we’ve missed you but wow it’s great to be back! Our 71 historians and germanists have had a fabulous day, and are now surveying the city from the top of the TV tower.
And that’s a wrap! An epic trip - we are very lucky to have such wonderful students. Curious, fun and great company, they embraced all the History, Politics, American culture and train rides, where, with 39, we were met with many an “oh boy!” from the red caps and subway staff!
We’re not sure we’re able to quite picture the experience of Washington’s continental soldiers in the winter of 1777-8 in Valley Forge on this blue skied afternoon but we learned much about it. Now to watch the 76ers play the Milwaukee Bucks! @WimbledonHigh@Politics_WHS_
Walking around Harlem this afternoon, hearing about the Harlem renaissance, visiting the place the March on Washington was planned and the mosque where Malcolm X developed his ideas. We’re now off for some jazz! @Politics_WHS_@WimbledonHigh
