For 6 more years, Nazi hunters searched for a dead man.

In 1985, police finally exhumed the grave in Embu, Brazil.

Forensic experts found a fractured pelvis matching his SS records and a gap between the front teeth visible in his photos.

DNA tests in 1992 confirmed it was him.
