Most teachers can teach ks3 in many subjects, as most adults should have that basic knowledge. The real issue is teacher pay scale. Most people with relevant knowledge can earn more away from teaching.

A young teacher would be better to speak about experiences of college and Uni than say a 50 year old. Young teacher can connect with students in a way experienced ones can't. Schools need all types of experience.

@CaddickTru6946 @iamtomskinner @andyburnham Yes, an hour a week of dedicated time. This is done every year of secondary and you go deeper the higher the year group. What subject would you take out to fit more time in? Is it not a parents job to do most of this kind of stuff?
