@tormenthowl 25lbs on paper, but because of the counter balance it’s true equivalence is about 15lbs in free weight. So yes 255 is correct but with the counterbalance he’s lifting roughly about 205lbs total, at least that’s what it would feel like on a free weight bench.
@MAGAMoments_ I can lift 45lbs with two fingers curled, straining them to do so using every muscle in my arm. A smith machine bar on the other hand I can lift with two fingers fully extended with no problem. There is a study that also shows he’s not truly lifting 275lbs, science is science.
@MAGAMoments_ You can lift 10-20% more on a Smith machine than with free weights. And I’ve personally never added the weight of the bar on a smith machine to my sets. I feel like if you can lift just the bar itself with 2 fingers then it shouldn’t count towards your working weight.
