it feels so unreal holding the award in my hands π₯Ή π₯Ή π₯Ή
I've never gotten a trophy or any physical award like this before, I'm so happy
(taking pics of reflective surfaces is so awkward..)

The crazy detailed VTuber model you've all been waiting for!
My submission for the Live2D Awards is up on YouTube. Check out what this model is capable of~

Why this is:
The cmo3 file is like liquid gold.
As a rigging artist giving your cmo3 someone can:
- reuse +mass reproduce your work file for other models or their own commissions.
- Mass produce your file and profit off of your work
- Take your techniques and your style
- The credit will become confusing when a model that no longer looks like the original rig is still credited.
Rigging is a technical art form. Most people donβt know the time and personal techniques that are put into models. A lot of big name rigging artists donβt show how reproduce their style because in rigging style is everything and what sets you apart.
If someone gets a cmo3 and literally can reproduce all the rigging artists hard work spent on it. Even to the point of mass selling it on a larger scale or using it for their own commissions- the rigging artist is the only one who gets hurt.
You pay for a cheeseburger at a restaurant but you donβt pay to know the recipe.
I was gone for basically a year and now that I'm back I feel awkward reaching out to all my streamer friends from before......... I wanna reconnect, I wanna collab but I feel guilty since I disappeared for a year LOL
I have low twintails which means it's impossible for me to do a 180 rig because I have no viable way of moving the ponytail from the back to the front of the body
but if you have short hair, this issue doesn't exist
this is done really nicely (great job, Mew and cypurr!)
but I'm seeing lots of posts asking why more vtubers don't have it, there are two main reasons for it:
1) the extra work required could add even $1000 ON TOP of your base model costs
2) you can't do this with every design
regarding point 2 - you need a design in which the head can turn freely without interacting with the body
so you can't have long hair because you'd need to account for the hair moving over the shoulder, which is near-impossible
remember Live2D doesn't have collision detection!!
