In the UK 87.5% of all people with #HIV are virally suppressed on treatment. This means that they can’t pass it on (#UequalsU).
HIV Lens illustrates where the gaps remain. Use it to pinpoint where action is needed.
Here @Matthew_Hodson explains how it works.
Over 40% of people living with #HIV are diagnosed late. Those diagnosed late have a ten-fold increased risk of dying.
HIV Lens provides information to highlight where earlier diagnosis is needed to improve outcomes.
Here @Matthew_Hodson explains how it works.
Loving the new interactive data maps at @HivLens - local treatment coverage, late diagnoses and more.
This map tells us the % of diagnoses made late by region - take a look at Manchester and surrounding areas and the variability

HIV Lens uses data from Public Health England @PHE_uk at national, regional and local authority level. It can be used by service planners, providers, advocates and activists to pinpoint where action is needed to improve #HIV diagnoses and outcomes.
Really proud to have designed https://t.co/SEGdQpDpS3, an interactive online mapping tool visualising the impact of HIV on communities across England. Never done anything like this before, and thoroughly enjoyed it. @HivLens, #HIV#UequalsU
97% of people with diagnosed #HIV in the UK are on treatment.
97% of those are undetectable, which means we can’t pass it on during sex (#UequalsU).
As a result new cases of HIV have dropped dramatically.
Our NHS delivers!
