Today our department had a celebration of life for Paul Dubois Jr., who passed away from cancer.
20-07 gave so many years of devoted service and will be deeply missed.

Help kids identify what things get hot and teach them to stay away. You can then point out other things in your home too, like space heaters, curling irons, candles and so on. This is a great non-scary way to start teaching fire and burn prevention to kids.

Check hay more often due to high temps this summer.
If temperatures reach 160, hay should be checked every 2 hours and spread hay out to allow more heat escape. For more on hay safety, see this article by the Extension Service of Penn State.

This is the second candle in a glass jar recall so far in 2023. You should never leave any candle burning unless you are in the room and stay there for supervision. Please don't think the candle is safe to leave burning because it's in a glass jar.

On 80 degree days inside of your car reaches 120 degrees in 30 minutes. The temp limit of an aerosol can is 120 degrees. That means any can of hair spray, bug spray, etc. is a rocket. Just think if someone had hopped back in the car as this happened.
No aerosol cans in cars.

GLBSUNION and CUZMAK digital display carbon monoxide (CO) detectors did not detect CO in tests.
