Michael's life changed forever in 1969 when he and his parents moved to Brookhill. In their new home, they find the Wonderwall. A hand-painted wall is a secret portal to a parallel world. As time passes, they reveal themselves to Michael as creatures depicted in the Wonderwall. Jambisi (Dragon), Smada (Yeti), Ultra (Robot), and Helga (Fairy).

These super-intelligent, invisible, shape-shifting beings live for thousands of years and can teleport to galaxies far away. They have a ring that the evillest from all Earth's realms has sought for millennia.

The Ring chooses Michael as its new keeper, who now has the attributes of these beings. The Ring also allows Michael’s soul to detach from his sleeping body and go on adventures to far-away galaxies and places on Earth that have not yet been discovered.

They meet and help many friends. They form a close alliance with the Lazadarians, one of five outer-world civilizations to whom the previous Ring keeper gave sanctuary on Earth.

They have a common enemy in Azrim the Liar, who wishes to be the master of the universe and causes havoc on Earth and the heavens above. Can Michael and his friends help keep the universe safe?
