I'm so excited that Toxic is included in #MyBookbuzz this year!
Bookbuzz is a great initiative from @BookTrust to get Year 7 & 8 students reading for pleasure and I'm so pleased to be part of it.

@FaberBooks We introduce our Y9 students to the beautiful language of NLMG and I return to it at A Level for more prose discussions. Always creative and poignant ideas generated.
@mrmichaelball Manchester (The Opera House I think rather than the Palace Theatre) Pirates of Penzance with Victor Spinetti, Bonnie L, Paul N and all the fun of Gilbert & Sullivan. Very dashing and swashbuckling. Loved it.
@jennieg_author Just (this second) finished TLOST - brilliant! I devoured the final 100 pages this afternoon. Just wanted to say a massive thank you. So may questions, but mostly I want Helen, Paul and Ish to all be okay... tell me they are?
@YorkshireBook48@mitchauthor's 'Kick', Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice', @SimonScarrow 's Macro and Cato epics, and the brilliant @Itwitius whose geography books hurt my head a lot!
@RealEmirHan The Full Monty, when they are choreographing the dance and can't get undressed smoothly, ending up a in belt whipping someone in the face... It's the Arsenal off-side trap.
To brighten up budget day, I am giving a set of these Fabulous Mr Benn badges away.
To be in the bowler hat, all you have to do is retweet this tweet.
I'll choose a winner this time next week.
Good Luck!!
@Sarah_Kendall Old age... or perhaps older age?! I quite enjoy the alignment of the clock numbers. This morning it was 3:33, and last week I enjoyed 04:40. Makes it all worth while, right?
@mrchrisaddison Loved this and looking forward to part 2 next week. Captivated by watching people rapt, listening to Mozart's music. So much I don't know, but really need to!
Reminiscing today about Lowly Worm, my favourite character from the Richard Scarry books. I remember seeing the blanket on Lowly Worm’s bed which had the letters LW all over it, and thinking, ‘YES, that’s what us people with the initials LW are like, we are the BEST people.’
@RogersHistory Specifically, going to a parents' evening as a parent helped me do the whole thing better as a teacher. Sitting down and listening/talking through an appraisal of my boy, hit home in lots of ways. It's a feeling I carry 20 years on...
@susiesbookrevs Massive box of tea bags for the (communal) kitchen; an extra towel because there will be a day when the other one isn't dry; two tea towels (otherwise manky-ville) and a box of snacky things which aren't all sugar but give an instant boost (breakfast bars, instant noodles, soup)
