The modus operandi is that a guy stands on the middle island behind a tree, and comes up to the car from behind the drivers side. Keep phones and valuables out of sight and lock your doors.

@JoburgMPD @TransportDeptSA this is Republic Road going into Winnie Mandela. Peak morning traffic. This cart was speeding down Republic Rd, almost got run over. These carts should be removed. When someone gets knocked, the drivers get blamed. Enforce the laws!
