Farewell old friends... 🇬🇧⚓️

Today we said goodbye to @HmsSabre and @HmsScimitar after nearly 30 years in service.

The patrol ships were decommissioned at @HMNBPortsmouth after long careers, which notably saw them serve as guard ships in Gibraltar.

After very busy operational lives @HmsScimitar & @HmsSabre have come to the end of their time with the @RoyalNavy.

We will be replaced by HM Ship's Cutlass and Dagger. Fantastic vessels built in Liverpool that will serve the nation for years to come.

Today Team Sabre visited Cowes, and gave @HMSWildfire's Lt Dunhill an insight as to how we conduct our day-to-day business. Always a pleasure to work with the @RNReserve!

Weapons engineering trainees from @HMS_Collingwood were given their first concerted introduction to sea time onboard patrol ship @HmsSabre.

Sabre's four-strong crew took six trainees a day through basic seamanship and navigation serials.
