What so many interpret as teen girls being obsessed with their looks or vain or whatever is just them TRYING NOT TO BE HIDEOUS.

I was in college when I went through a period of time that I thought I was literally too gross to HAVE FRIENDS.

I'm thinking back to my mismatched hand-me-down college dorm days where my biggest concern was sourcing Plasti-tak to hang up pre-matted Monet prints & photos of my fam. And now I'm always seeing parents decorating dorm rooms like they've hired an interior design firm.

We just had days of horrible wildfire smoke, so we masked up when we had to be outside. We live by a beach so I saw plenty of people out enjoying the smoke (?) & maybe 2 or 3 were masked. Like...you can SEE & SMELL how bad the air is. Masking isn't living in fear.
