.@UNDP 🇧🇩 Resident Representative @sarodriques recently called on H.E. Ambassador Yao Wen of China 🇨🇳. They discussed the GoB’s priorities in relation to promoting foreign and domestic investment in the economy, and potential areas of UNDP-China collaboration to support the country.

They also reflected on ongoing UNDP-China efforts in Bangladesh to advance South-South cooperation, and ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening climate resilience and improving livelihood opportunities for women in low-income urban communities.

Their discussion focused on longstanding collaboration in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, advancing inclusive and climate-resilient development, and exploring broader economic priorities.

Heavy rainfall has increased landslide risks across the Chittagong Hill Tracts and Cox’s Bazar. During his recent visit to the Rohingya camps, @NorwayAmbBD 🇳🇴 saw how nature-based slope stabilisation, improved drainage and landslide early-warning systems are helping protect vulnerable communities during the monsoon.
