@AlextheAdm1ral@dennyhamlin I don't disagree with anything you're saying necessarily but all of this revolves around start times whereas Denny was making his point around race length and so was every other Nascar media member
Just interesting there's been no outrage this week from that group
@An0malee@BYNDmetropolis Goes back to what I said earlier as well
Start times are a whole different discussion. Denny's original post was about race length
@An0malee@BYNDmetropolis That's a whole different discussion on start times
In general, if the fan cares that much about the product/team/league that they are a fan of then they'll consume it regardless of when it starts/ends
I'd bet most NBA/Spurs/Thunder fans watched the 2OT game they had 2 weeks ago
@FreddieKraft The argument that the race length is too long is flawed though
Race was 3 hours 45 minutes after 11 cautions
This could happen any given week
If this were a clean race with 6 cautions we save 30+ minutes and it could have easily been a 3 hour race
@Jordan_Bianchi The argument that the race length is too long is flawed though
Nashville was 3 hours 45 minutes after 11 cautions
Caution filled races could happen any given week
If this were a clean race with 6 cautions we save 30+ minutes and it could have easily been a 3 hour race

There's a big difference between racing hard and racing stupid.

Sampling of some driver reactions to the Christopher Bell/Chase Elliott crash
Erik Jones: "Golly, I hope they get out. That's like the hardest wreck I've ever seen."
Carson Hocevar: "Holy shit! ... That was big."
Bubba Wallace: "Holy shit, please tell me that guy's alright ... My God, that was the scariest hit I've ever seen."
Ryan Blaney: "Oh my God, that looked massive whoever that was. Let me know if they're both OK."
These were far from the only drivers to express their concern after driving through the accident.
