The statement of the ASP of the ICC is important in that it

But it makes no specific call on member states to block the sanctions, to protect the targeted personnel, or to take any action (diplomatic, economic, legal or otherwise) to hold the perpetrator state accountable. Lukewarm proclamations won’t save the rule of law. Only action will. If the ICC ultimately falls in the face of the ongoing unlawful attacks on the Court by the US-Israel Axis, much of the blame will belong to the cowardice and lack of principle of the state parties to the ICC.
