In life sciences, Hyderabad has become a major global capability center hub for pharma, healthcare, and med-tech firms.
Companies such as Novartis, Eli Lilly, Roche, Sanofi, Bayer, Bristol Myers Squibb, MSD, Amgen, Merck KGaA, and Sandoz, etc., are operating from the city.

It's obviously anachronistic to refer to Gandhāra and Takṣaśilā as "Pakistani," but isn't the obsession with Gandharan art partially a product of British colonial interest in Indo-Greek art?
I personally prefer Indian art in Indian style over Greek style.
Is there a bigger right-wing joke than Roman Baber in Canadian politics? Hatfield was a lethal product of social media that has amost no guardrails. He was radicalized online by all of the kooky shit that Musk promotes and refuses to referee. The killer's brain was rotted by SM.
PM @MarkJCarney your leadership in pushing back against the Khalistan agenda has been welcome & long overdue.
Yet last year’s @angusreidorg survey found that 61% of Canadians still do not know who was behind the Air India bombing. Political leaders must be willing to name & condemn the violent Khalistan ideology behind 🇨🇦’s worst act of terrorist attack.

This is some *wild* backpedaling bullshit from Elon
DOGE didn’t check with aid recipients…they didn’t check with *anyone*
DOGE clear-cut >80% of USAID programs without assessing what harms would ensue
And when USAID staff tried to flag those harms, they were forced out
If I declare that, as of tomorrow, the word 'fish' means 'piscine creatures and anyone else who enjoys a paddle', fish will continue to be fish.
If you want to invent a word that means 'women and men who assert they're women on the basis that they identify with stereotypes associated with women/are sexually excited by pretending to be women', carry on. The word 'woman' is taken.
In 1567, Mughal India's chief religious officer, Shaikh Abdul Nabi had a dead man dug up from his grave because he was Shia.
Mir Murtaza Sharifi Shirazi was an Iranian scholar from Shiraz who migrated to India like countless Persian intellectuals of his era, fleeing the rigid Safavid religious climate for the relatively inclusive courts of Mughal Delhi. He settled in the city and lived respectably. After his death, he was buried near the tomb of Amir Khusrau inside the Dargah of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya which was one of the most prestigious burial grounds in all of India. That should have been the end of his story but it wasn't.
In 1567, some years after Mir Murtaza's death, Shaikh Abdun Nabi, the immensely powerful Sadr us-Sudur (chief religious officer) of the Mughal Empire under Akbar issued an order for the exhumation(digging a dead body from the ground) of Mir Murtaza Sharifi Shirazi's remains from the burial ground near Amir Khusrau's tomb. His stated reason was theological and deeply sectarian: Mir Murtaza had been a Shia, and in Abdun Nabi's orthodox Sunni view, the proximity of a Shia's grave to the sacred resting place of the great Sunni Sufi poet Amir Khusrau was an act of religious pollution and desecration. He argued that a Shia's body had no right to lie near the tomb of a venerated Sunni saint, and that the ground was being spiritually contaminated by this proximity.
The sources don't record where the exhumed remains were reburied but the grave was dug up and removed.
Even Akbar allowed this bigoted act as he held great admiration for Abdun Nabi. This was the early phase of Akbar's reign when he was still under the spiritual and political influence of the orthodox ulama.
The “greater male variance” point is overused. Unless you’re a physicist, mathematician, AI researcher, etc it’s unlikely to have much relevance to your life. You are probably not +3sd. Most women you know are probably about as smart as you.
One startup shifted their entire work schedule to 1am to 10am local time.
The rationale: 80% of the world’s population is asleep during those hours and they believe ChatGPT and Codex make fewer mistakes in that window of time as all of the compute is under-utilized.
Woke activists just failed to add "caste" to New York's anti-discrimination law.
Good.
It was the latest attempt to add a new intersectional identity category into law that would then be used to train Americans to hunt endlessly for traces of oppression in ordinary, everyday life.
Despite what activists claim, there is no evidence of significant caste discrimination in America. Instead, our research shows that exposure to caste-sensitivity training materials and oppression narrative by activist groups make people more paranoid, more punitive, and more likely to see discrimination that didn't exist.
Some participants exposed to these materials even endorsed grotesque anti-Brahmin rhetoric adapted from Hitler's rhetoric about Jews.
The "anti-discrimination" policies pushed by progressives aren't merely useless, they actually increase the very types of prejudice they claim to be against.
In our new article for @CityJournal, @PsychRabble, Danit Finkelstein, and I explain why New York was right to reject this activist project.

Public perception of India whether in the West or China is a caricature where Brāhmaṇa puppet-masters have absolute power and control everything, so every problem in India can be connected to caste.
(whereas the opposite, "India is an Ambedkarite republic", is basically true of the current reality even though the people who say it are repulsive cretins.)
This is to the point that even intelligent right-wing commentators say things like "Nehru's hatred of profit was inspired by Brahmin envy of Baniya wealth" (whereas Nehru was a thoroughly deracinated/Anglicized Fabian socialist and that is what informed all his beliefs, not any Brāhmaṇa heritage).
They are completely oblivious to the fact that Left-liberalism is actually the ideology that has had the greatest power (not "Brāhmaṇical Patriarchy") whether in post-colonial India or the West.
As a result, not only are their perceptions inferred from the Left-wing Ideological Aether, they do not even notice that they are.
This ability to convince people that they don't have power: that they are still the underdogs, is the greatest flex of Left-liberal power. It is a regime with an invisibility cloak, that has convinced people the Old Gods are still powerful and need to be fought. But, crucially, their power also largely depends on this invisibility cloak, since associating the enemy/"oppressor" with "Institutional Power" is an essential part of their mythology.
Within the Fatimid Empire, Indian and Armenian women were generally regarded as difficult to control, and for that reason they were often considered unsuitable for enslavement. 🗿😂
