๐Joao Neves explains why he liked Casemiro's post calling Lionel Messi the "God of Football":
๐ฃ๏ธโI don't think I owe anyone an explanation for liking that post. I wasn't trying to provoke anyone or start a debate.
Messi is a player I've admired since I was a kid. We don't play exactly the same role, but there are parts of his game I always try to study and learn from. His decision-making, his intelligence, and the way he reads the game are qualities every footballer should want to improve.
Who wouldn't want to learn from a player like that? I've watched him for years, and he's always been one of the players I've looked up to.
When a legend like Casemiro, someone who has played against Messi countless times at the highest level, calls him the 'God of Football,' it carries weight. He's seen firsthand what Messi is capable of and understands how difficult those achievements are.
Anyone who truly loves football can appreciate what Messi does. He can influence the game as a midfielder, a playmaker, a winger, and a forward all in the same match. On paper it might seem simple, but doing it consistently at the highest level is something very few players in history have ever managed.
So no, I didn't like the post to disrespect anyone. I liked it because I respect both Casemiro's opinion and Messi's greatness.โ
@FCBarcelona Honestly we need better and experience defender wey go dey support cubarsi, wey go dey give am orientation the guy get better future ahead not all this Kounde and Araujo squad ๐ฅน๐ฅน๐ฅน
@MOE__BOY As in ehn out of 15man squad na only be Messi Omoh dem nearly kill me as we Dey loose 2-0 but I still trust the GOAT and now I believe say he who laugh last, laugh best ๐๐๐
๐จ๐ฉต๐ค Lisandro Martรญnez: โLeo Messi is a massive example because he has suffered a lot throughout his entire career, he has suffered losses and he never gave upโ, told ESPN.
โToday he is here at 39 years old, fighting, battling, he has already won everything, he has absolutely nothing left to proveโ.
โHe is the best player in history, not just in football, but in all of sports. It's madnessโ.
โAnd for those of us coming up behind him, how can we not keep fighting if the best of all time does it with this kind of passion? We have to follow behind him in the exact same wayโ.
