There is still time to register for my online workshop on experimental design at ICPSR (@ICPSRSummer ) from June 15-19. Syllabus: https://t.co/DREfyikCSv.
A list of all the ICPSR workshops and courses and the link to register can be found here: https://t.co/raF7hS1PZg
My ICPSR online workshop on experimental design is scheduled from July 21, 2025 โ July 25, 2025 (https://t.co/79t5mabhXP). This workshop is great for those who don't have access to training on experiments. Feel free to share with colleagues or students who might be interested.
Registration is still open for the ICPSR workshop I'm teaching this summer from July 8-12 on experimental design in social science research. This is a 40-hour hybrid workshop that can be attended either in person or synchronously over Zoom.

@n_stenhou @mjbsp@LindaSkitka@ylelkes I think you also have to acknowledge the strong evidence of problems with AD items. In this specific case, the construct specific items used don't appear to have improved data quality as much as expected. But I don't think we know why or how well that will generalize.
@n_stenhou @mjbsp@LindaSkitka@ylelkes But there is other evidence from Saris and Krosnick showing that construct specific items are higher in validity and reliability. Just because ANES experiments showed weak evidence, does not mean that AD items should be used.
@n_stenhou @mjbsp@LindaSkitka@ylelkes My results primarily showed that the AD items and the construct specific ones were different (i.e., different distributions and weak correlations). I include only one preliminary test of predictive validity. Lelkes and Weiss include additional tests of reliability and validity
