Year 6 have been studying this illustration from @Frenci_San The Journey - we’ve loved spotting small details in the picture and one of our children thought that the empty picture frames symbolised feelings of emptiness after Dad’s death 😲@clpe1

Year 6 have had a delightful #WorldBookDay - we've competed against other classes to have the most story time in school, we've read to each other and this afternoon we are making our own mini-books.

Year 6 have loved exploring The Journey by @Frenci_San so far. Today we ‘destroyed’ our happy memories by chopping them to pieces. We used these feelings to imagine what Dad’s actions might have been....take a look at our sentences @clpe1

We are loving Arthur and the Golden Rope by @Joetoddstanton ...we are stepping into Arthur’s shoes and making some difficult decisions about what items to take on our quest. There have been many more bottles of hand gel chosen than this time 2 years ago 😂@clpe1

Wow! We have had an amazing time studying How the Stars Came To Be by @pmistryartist. Today, we were very excited to discover the title and we’ve had such fun pretending to be the moon. Our poems are incredible because we’ve been inspired by this wonderful book! @clpe1
