Most Nigerian homes are built in a way that the man provides for everything, all he gets from his wife while raising his kids is emotional support plus her own personal bills to pay.

“God will provide”

And when these same kids grow up, it becomes “the hustle is for mama”, “I want to make mama proud”.

They start buying cars and houses for the mother, while the father gets abandoned in most cases after all the sacrifices.

This post isn’t to talk men out of their responsibilities, but to encourage fathers to watch out for themselves while they provide for their homes.

And also to the young men, take care of your fathers.

Repay your father for his sacrifices, you’re slowly becoming one too, you’d understand with time.
