Got my first thank you card - bout to frame it like billionaires do their first dollar earned except I’m in the business of caring and the currency is kindness 😭 #SPT#DPTstudent
people who struggle with maintaining healthy weight loss often put too much emphasis on calories in vs. calories out
& not enough emphasis on the factors that are affecting both sides of the equation like:
Sleep, stress, environment, daily habits & nutrient density of food
here’s an example:
Client struggling to incorporate movement into their day: “I’ve always been lazy”
They believe they’re lazy so they look for reasons to make that true and stay congruent with their identity.
We work on challenging this internal dialogue to create change
Most underrated and often overlooked part of a health transformation:
Updating your identity and core beliefs.
People often stop themselves from living healthier and happier because they’re stuck in beliefs and stories that keep them repeating old and unhealthy patterns
being fit does not = being healthy.
One prioritizes aesthetic, while the latter is a whole-being view.
You can have one without the other and the beautiful thing is you can also have both.
Alcohol is a known carcinogen and even moderate consumption (>1-2 drinks per day) increases risks of several types of cancers up to 50% 🥹 was I living under a rock or is this common knowledge but we just don’t care?

There is no one-size-fits-all diet or workout plan.
My 1:1 clients find their nutrition and fitness programs easy to stick to because we customize every little detail to fit them perfectly.
More manageable = more enjoyable = easier = results that stick!
@rcpointdujour Just another way we gaslight each other for feeling burnt out. Like, I’m really glad you’re a saint but I’m not here trying to ruin my own mental or physical health for my career.
