Let's grow, connect, and succeed -together.
Going into 2024 I made a decision to not set goals or resolutions, but instead to set an identity for the new year.
I started by drawing and writing out what my 'ideal version of me' would look like, act like, and operate like.
Then I worked my way backward and outlined 8 key traits that I wanted to embody.
I didn't live up to all of them, but I can confidently say this was one of the biggest years of growth I have ever had.
As opposed to setting goals that are fleeting, or resolutions that come and go, setting an identity is something that sticks.
I'll be doing the same thing as I head into 2025. "

A chance to connect with like-minded professionals and set a vision for the year ahead
As an SDR, you’re likely thinking about becoming an AE.
As an AE, you’ll likely have your eyes on moving upmarket or into leadership.
Once upmarket or in leadership, there’s a good chance you will set your sights on a bigger title, more responsibility.
When you get the bigger title, you start to dream about one day running your own company.
All of which is incredible IMO - within constraints.
If I could go back 10 years and offer my younger self some perspective (who am I kidding - this is for me right now), it’d be this:
Each season has its lessons that will feed you for the rest of your life. Pay close attention to all that is currently in your midst and don’t jump ahead in your mind. You are being formed on the daily and have the ability, now, regardless of your current role, to learn, grow, help, succeed, coach, be coached, have peace, make money, enjoy your work, prioritize yourself and your family, all at the same time.
Don’t take today for granted. There’s more that’s happening beyond your dials, demos, deals, and quota. Keep your eyes peeled.
And on that note, let’s get it.

3. Tell a story of how your solution can solve this (don't feature dump, make it punchy)
Ex) Now with XYZ you will know exactly what is happening in every single one of your deals.
3-step framework to nailing your demos.
1. Frame the broader problem
Ex) Most sales leaders I work with are really struggling to understand where the risk in their pipeline is
In the last 3 months Will Falkenborg 🌭 has booked 95 meetings with Director+ at mid-market and enterprise accounts.
He also restarted 5 stalled deals worth $319k in the pipeline.
He is a cold-calling machine, and finds insanely creative ways to build pipeline.
3. Are craving more of a sense of community
4. Get value out of being surrounded with likeminded driven individuals
You can use code 'EOY' to get one free month of full access to the community, if you aren't impressed you can cancel at anytime
If you have ever wanted to join but have been hesitant to commit now is your chance to experience the community!
Here are a few reasons you should consider joining:
1. Want to learn from sellers outside of your company
2. Need help finding and landing your next opportunity
Takeaway:
Standing out in an interview isn’t about luck—it’s about strategy. By treating the process like a sales cycle, showcasing your expertise with precision, and closing the loop effectively, you can position yourself as the standout candidate.
5. Follow-Up
Seal the deal with timely and thoughtful follow-ups. Send a personalized thank-you email to every interviewer, referencing specific parts of your conversation. This extra step reinforces your interest and professionalism.
4. Close with Conviction
Just as you would in a sales call, end the interview with a strong close. Reiterate your excitement for the role, highlight your fit, and express gratitude. Confidence in your close leaves a lasting impression.
3. Reverse,
Be ready to “reverse the sale” by asking insightful questions. This shows your genuine interest in the role and allows you to evaluate if the company is the right fit for you. Engage the interviewer in a way that feels like a conversation, not just a Q&A session.
2. Have Specific Examples
Demonstrate your skills and experiences with tangible, impactful examples. Use the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) framework to clearly and confidently tell stories that showcase your achievements. Specificity is key to proving your value.
1. Treat It Like a Sales Cycle
Approach the interview process with the mindset of managing a deal. This includes researching the company and role, understanding the "buyer" (hiring manager), and preparing thoroughly. Just like in sales, personalization and preparation.
Last night we held a session on "How to Stand Out in the Interview Process"
In this session, we explored how to approach job interviews with the same strategy and precision that top-performing sales professionals bring to their deals.
Here’s a summary of the 5 areas covered
