“I can’t report if I didn’t see it and I didn’t see it”
“Jonathan was very complimentary of Maddy”
“Jonathan wanted the best for the club”
“Accusations about character unfair”
Video 5 🗣️ Teams Call
MC: “I trust what you want to do. I want to be a player for you. I trust that they’re in the best interest for us as a club and us a team.”
MC: “Really looking forward to working with you again next season. Like I’ve really enjoyed it since you’ve come in.”
The reference to ‘Morgan Cult’ from an individual who has never been in that environment is highly offensive and disrespectful. The media have irresponsibly sensationalised this comment, but we are no longer surprised by their lack of integrity, professionalism and objectivity.
I understand what you are both saying here. What I am trying to get across is that the full excerpts are not being provided, which then becomes misleading as it is not covering the fullness of what was said.
As somebody who was there today, it was not said that Maddy would still be alive if JM had not become Manager at SUFC. In fact, it was said that “I’m not blaming you for what she did.”
The mother of Maddy Cusack told her former Sheffield United manager that her daughter would still be alive if he had not been employed by the club.
Cusack took her own life on September 20, 2023, and her family have maintained that she did not experience any mental health problems until she started to suffer from serious depression around the time Jonathan Morgan took charge of the team. Morgan has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
Morgan, who is representing himself, put several questions to Cusack’s mother, Deborah, at Chesterfield Coroner’s Court on Thursday.
