I assumed Trump’s base was locked in.

I assumed people would vote along party lines.

I was wrong.

I see more freeing themselves from the insidious grip of Fox News, more lifelong Republicans speaking out against Trump, more moderate conservatives rejecting the destructive nature of Project 2025.

Hope is a powerful force.

It inspires people to be brave. To step outside their comfort zones. To believe in something bigger than themselves. To walk away from the toxicity, negativity and hate that has held them captive for so long.

When more take a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.
