@lukacsy @SwedishPM Because gripen have been stuck in WH jail since early last year. Gripen engine started with a US IP (hornet design), when work began in 80s/90s. Multiple resesigns since, but Biden/Sullivan fear of escalation/micromanagemwnt & Trump's love of russia = big diplomatic hurdles.
