To the tired teacher with a mountain of papers, stop.
Turn the rubric into a self-assessment activity. Get an exemplar to talk about tomorrow, and then give students time to pursue the skill they've identified to work on for their next piece.
Our egos can exhaust us.
The last day of remote learning is tomorrow. Then we are back onsite 5 days a week after spring break. I put together one more "One Must Go" Jamboard warm-up activity for breakout rooms tomorrow. #dg58learns#dg58pride#on58learns

Proud momma moment at dinner tonight. Future 7th grader talking about proposing his own elective so he can support his community of learners. ❤️ #rollthunder

Hello #dg58learns teachers! My class helped me create another kindness calendar. Here is one for February! Today's act of kindness: Wish someone a "good day." #dg58pride#on58learns Let me know if you want the link to the PDF and I can e-mail it to you. Have a great day!
@burgessdave Parenting with Love & Logic - allow students to experience natural negative consequences of not so great decisions and our job is to reflect and coach.
LOVING this sketch by @evalottchen to reflect on the year. Would work perfectly as a background in Slides or Jamboard - have your Ss reflect once we are back in January - or at the end of the semester!
“We’re easily seduced into believing that learning is better when it’s easier, but the research shows the opposite: when the mind has to work, learning sticks better.” #MakeItStick
@bcusd100 Great Anti-Bullying Laser Light Show event tonight! Solid message mixed in with lasers and good music. And, of course, a dance party in the living room.
