Inspired by St Francis’ belief that all of creation is connected, we explored the theme of ‘interconnectedness’.
We used paint, squeegees and oil pastels to represent natural elements such as ‘Brother Wind’ and ‘Sister Water’. 🎨🌊💨🌞🧑‍🎨 #ArtHFB10 #REHFB10

It was wonderful to work with artist Mark, creating beautiful leaf mono-prints inspired by St Francis’ love of nature.🍃🍁🌿

We’ve been learning all about Spain for Spanish Day! We built Spanish buildings, painted flags and discovered lots of facts about Spain. Some of us shared our learning in assembly and we performed a Spanish song 🎶🇪🇸 #SpanishHFB10

Our medical student visitors gave us an insight into life as a doctor this week. We explored medical equipment and became mini doctors ourselves as we cared for a poorly teddy bear. 🩺🧸

Today, for Empathy Day, we explored how our actions can make others feel better and shared ideas for showing empathy, kindness and care to our friends. 💛🖤 #EmpathyDay #CSTHFB10

We welcomed Father Fretch today to talk about how he helps others through his role as a priest. We learned that he prays for people every day, gives special sacraments to those who are ill and enjoys visiting people most of all because it brings them happiness. #REHFB10 #CSTHFB10

This morning, Year 4 led us in a beautiful Celebration of the Word in our prayer garden to mark the special Feast of the Ascension. We listened to and reflected on the Word of God before sending our prayers up in bubbles and watching them ascend into the sky. 🙏🫧✨#PrayerHFB10

In assembly, Mrs King inspired us with a moment of awe as we reflected on the Ascension of Jesus and the Feast of the Ascension. We thought about Jesus returning to live with his Father in Heaven and what this means for Christians around the world. ✨🙏🖤💛 #REHFB10

This afternoon, we proudly stood up in assembly to lead the whole school in signing our special school mission prayer, “We live, love and learn together...” 💛🖤✨ #PrayerHFB10

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we’ve been exploring ways to take care of our mental wellbeing and enjoyed a calming mindfulness yoga session! 🧘‍♀️💛🖤 #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek

A beautiful Celebration of the Word focused on Our Lady and her courage in saying yes to God. We reflected on how we can say yes in our own lives, sang and signed the Hail Mary, and lifted our hearts in prayer. 🙏🩵🕯️🤍✨ #REHFB10 #PrayerHFB10

We’ve loved taking our learning outdoors this week - getting creative with painting, building numbers beyond 10, exploring capacity through water play, and developing our writing skills along the way! 🌿🎨🌞💧🤗 #EYFSHFB10
