Good Morning Psychologists! If you have psychology on your timetable, you should have received an invite to the 20/21 Team. If you haven’t, please email Mr Radford! All the work is on there, along with instructions. Don’t panic, we’ll get through this together.
Former @HolyRoodRCHigh pupil Ruth Quill talked with the Higher Psychology pupils today about studying Psychology at Uni, life at @univofstandrews and how to thrive in their next stage of life. What a star!
"The consequences of experiencing racism build up in the body in a way that can overwhelm your systems...The impacts are bone-deep, not skin deep." — @Wizdomisms outlines how racism negatively affects the physical health of Black Americans https://t.co/HmQvHcvmLE
If you’ve joined the OneNote and are taking part in #PsychChallenge20 (that’s right we have a hashtag now), you might want to take some inspiration from previous Psych-Offs!
Good evening Psychologists old and new! For those of you who have joined us out of interest, here are some tasks for you to accomplish! Remember, these are strictly voluntary!
To reiterate:
- S4s, S5s and S6s are welcome.
- We are NOT starting the course, this is just for fun!
- I recommend looking at some of the stuff on ‘Approaches’ and ‘Memory’ to start with.
- There will be no tests.
Attention S4 and S5 @HolyRoodRCHigh students! If you’re interested in taking Psychology when you’re in S6, I can add you to the OneNote so you can have a look at the kind of thing we do and pass time while you #StayAtHomeSaveLives Just email Mr Radford, and I’ll get you set up.
@Ellie69492351 @HolyRoodRCHigh Hi Ellie, it’s sandy.radford, and then the usual email ending. If you post your full name here, I can also add you directly.
Good evening, Psychologists! As you’ve probably already seen, all exams are now cancelled. The good news is, you’ve already finished all your coursework, which along with your other assessments, will be used by the SQA to assign you a grade.
I know this is a stressful time for you, but you’ve done everything right so far. Tomorrow’s lesson will be a wee celebration of everything we’ve achieved this year, which goes way beyond essays and exams.
