Year 6 (Class 12) thoroughly enjoyed investigating the clues that were left in their room last week. They pieced together the photographs, the props and the written clues to work out what could have happened. They now know they are finding out about the Highwayman!
Last week, all KS3 students have had the opportunity in their English lessons to take part in the Junior Poet Identity Project: “My Barnsley & Identity”, a creative poetry challenge celebrating young voices and their connection to Barnsley. #holytrinitystars
Last week, Reception had a wonderful afternoon in the sunshine in Forest School with Fenn's Den. The children have explored and created some amazing things, and their behaviour was fantastic! #holytrinitystars
Class 7 (Year 4) have been illustrating the poem Jabberwocky by Lewis Carrol. They have worked as a team and used lots of different charcoal techniques to illustrate each verse. #holytrinitystars
Our science club members finished off an ongoing project by creating some lovely sun catchers, book marks, pictures and bunting. They used recycled paper they had made and flowers they had foraged and dried. #holytrinitystars
Class 7 and 8 (Year 4) today took part in a drama activity in RE where they acted out a fruit of the Holy Spirit (the gifts the Holy Spirit brings to you). #holytrinitystars
Class 8 (Year 4) have been learning about OS maps and how to use and read four-figure grid references in Geography. We found Holy Trinity! #holytrinitystars
In science club, our students made their own paper/ card by recycling shredded paper from our school. They added their own finishing touches in the form of food colourings, shimmer thread and some added flowers foraged during previous science club session. #holytrinitystars
Class 8 (Year 4) did a little more on decomposition in computing this week and had to make 3d models from 2d representations. They moved onto abstraction and had to design a playground with a specific theme- fun, pretty or sustainable. #holytrinitystars
In Science, class 3 (year 2) have been learning about the effects of exercise on their body. We started by counting our resting heart beat sat in class and then went outside to do different exercises. After each exercise we counted how quickly our heart was beating.
We’re incredibly proud to share that our Year 8 girls Netball team will be heading to the English Institute of Sport on Tuesday after qualifying for the South Yorkshire Finals. The team will be representing Barnsley. Good luck girls! #holytrinitystars
Reception have loved their journey watching and caring for their ducklings. They have learnt so much about their life cycles, how they hatch, grow and change and how we care for them.

During science club, students took part in a flower forage around school. They gathered a very colourful array of flowers, which they are now in the process of drying and pressing ready for future activities. They will be used to create sun catchers, book marks and bunting! 🪻
Class 3 (year 2) had a great afternoon in the sunshine taking part in Forest school activities. The class really enjoyed working with Dee from Fenn's Den and learning some new skills. #holytrinitystars
Class 8 completed a Science experiment investigating how to make a bulb shine brighter. We tested putting 2 cells into the circuit and were surprised to see the bulb was brighter. We had double the chemical energy running around our circuit which caused the brighter bulb.
