We are honoured to have hosted a book launch last night!
Congratulations to UCC curler, John Robertson, on the release of his new book, Curling for Beginners and Improvers.
Just in time for the book's on-sale day, my interview with Stephanie Thompson for the Empowered Performance podcast is up!

This week we talk with John Robertson (@Holy_Potato) author of Curling for Beginners & Improvers about how to introduce new players to #curling & strategies for getting better when you're on the ice #podcaster https://t.co/x0HztUlkFK

For context, the book is a how-to with a dash of humour for the 5U #curling crowd, coming out Oct 16.
I tried to keep it short, punchy, and fun, while still giving you information on not just how to deliver a rock or do directional sweeping (which everyone is curious about these days) but why we do it that way. 5/5
I've been out of the world for a while, and just stopped in to say that I have a new book coming out next month: Curling for Beginners and Improvers! https://t.co/CF7LmV6wjX
It's a how-to guide with a dash of humour, designed to complement a learn-to-curl session. #curling 1/5
By the end of the year, I joked about those long emails saying that if it felt like people had read a whole book, it wasn't far off. So of course @fit_nut_curl and others encourage me to go ahead and make an actual book, and well, a hectic spring of writing and here we are. 4/5
PS, I had an X-plan PIN as a shareholder when I placed the order (shareholders @FordIR and Canadian EAA members can't get new PINs now, but having the X-plan at the time of the order was the key part). But the price delta is 2X the Xplan disc. so that's not the main issue here.
Is there anyone @FordCanada who can help with price protection?
I ordered my Escape PHEV in April 2022, and was told there would be a wait, but the price we agreed to was the price I would pay. [1/3]
The *dealer* thinks there should be price protection for me, but they can’t get anyone at Ford to help them sort it out – all they see is an adjustment back to when the order rolled over to a 2023 model year. So for my patience I’m being asked to pay ~$3600 (+tax) more? [3/3]
It's #RareDisease day! I want to talk about Wayfare's experience with TTP in this thread.
But first, an ask: there's a new drug for TTP. It's safe, effective, and approved by Health Canada (and the EU, UK, and US). [1/
Anyway, that's life with a rare disease: waiting too long to get a diagnosis for something you never heard of, long-term physical and mental health effects, and even when science comes through and finds a drug that helps, feeling like the government is dropping the ball. [29/
