What is spit for? Year 4 found out this week by chewing and spiting out crackers for different amounts of time to then test for starch levels using iodine.
Nursery Lamp at the Library has been cancelled due to the weather. Parents are welcome to come into school to take part in activities within the nursery environment. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Could you please book your child's meals and toast before 9am. Any bookings after this time do not register as this is when the meals for the day are gathered by the Academy cook. Meals can be booked for the week or the term.
The children had a special visitor to talk to them about all of the good things they should be putting into their diets. They discussed the different food groups and why each one had an important role in helping the children to grow up healthy and strong.

Year 3 Delved back in time to the Stone/Bronze/Iron age and became hunter-gatherers that developed through time. Eventually became warriors in the Celtic period.
Year 4 had a fantastic day at the Sea Life Centre in Birmingham seeing and learning all about some of the magnificent creatures of the ocean for their Blue Abyss theme.
