The Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP) helps Snohomish County residents 62+ stay independent by providing free home safety upgrades. A licensed Occupational Therapist completes a professional assessment, and the program installs items like rails, non-slip strips, and updated smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
If you’re or know someone that is low to moderate income homeowner or renter with landlord approval, you may qualify for this no cost service designed to help older adults age in place with confidence.

The Older Adult Home Modification Program helps Snohomish County residents 62+ stay independent and avoid the need for assisted living by making homes safer at no cost to those who qualify.
We provide professional assessments from a licensed Occupational Therapist and install helpful safety upgrades like raised toilet seats, chair and sofa risers, non-slip strips, and much more. You can find the full list Home Modification Program - Homage

Worried about a loved one’s safety at home?
Caring for an older adult can be overwhelming, especially when you want them to stay safe, comfortable, and independent. Our Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP) can help make that possible.
How We Support Your Loved One
• A licensed Occupational Therapist completes a home safety and modification assessment.
• We install helpful items like tub/shower benches, handheld shower heads, raised toilet seats, chair/sofa risers, and non-slip strips.
• We test, install, and replace smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
Who Qualifies
• Snohomish County residents
• Age 62+
• Low to moderate income homeowners or renters (with landlord approval)
