Netflix, the more customers you push away, the less money YOU get. You're offering a service that people are paying for, and you doing this is gonna drive a LOT of people away. But hey at least you did one thing right. You made the choice of what to cut for some people WAY easier
Ladies and gentleman, I present "short term answers leading to long term fuck ups".
Didn't Microsoft do something like this with some DRM idea, or at least tried to but when everyone said it was a dumb idea they backtracked?
Netflix’s has introduced their anti-password sharing method:
Once every 31 days, your device must log in on your home Wi-Fi network or your account will be blocked.

You don't want people sharing passwords, and to SOME degrees I get it. But those degrees I understand are extreme degrees that don't warrant this type of crackdown. What it comes off as is a short sighted attempt to show paying customers who's in charge without realizing one fact
I really wish people treated the Velma cartoon the same way James Rolfe treated the 2016 Ghostbusters movie. If you know it's bad, especially when it's baiting you with how bad it deliberately is, stop giving it your time, attention and money.
So let's be sure we're on the same page. Dude claims he was never a gamer, so anything he says in regards to gaming/gaming culture should be disregarded as soon as he says it because by his words, he's not invested in the culture and doesn't care for it and has NEVER cared.
They had no faith their idea could stand on their own, so instead they took characters that are known and popular, changed them to fit the mold, and hoped that would be enough. It's not for anyone. And I'm sure the discourse for this will continue until we hit circular arguments.
So "Velma" sucks...that's the consensus right? I'm curious how many people that defended it have changed their position. Not a call out or anything, more genuinely curious. I've still got no intention of watching for my own reasons.
Those reasons being from the start this seemed like a cartoon NEVER designed to be a "Scooby-Doo" show. Ignoring that Scooby's not even in the show as that's not what I mean. Everything I'd seen and heard made it apparent they only wanted the character's for ease of recogniton.
Officially Christmas time for me where I am, so Merry Christmas everyone. Hope when you all get up you get a good batch of stuff you were hoping for and you have a wonderful time with your loved ones. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year once more.
Last thing I'll say on the Pokémon news with Ash retiring....we should have known SOMETHING was up when our Pikachu clone this Gen could evolve. The sign was right there and none of us picked up on it.
