This makes me wonder how a fps game that automatically aimed the viewmodel would feel. Very clunky without super smooth animations like these I'm predicting.
These cargo drone components were originally intended to indicate player progression and were developed totally separate from the ship components, but thanks to the magic of Attachments they plug right into the generator. Do you use Attachments in your #RobloxDev workflow?
Deterministic ship generator in #Roblox. Heavily abuses Attachments in a manner similar to the animation rig. It was rather frustrating as studio crashed every 5 minutes during this project, but at least the dump logs helped identify the bug. #RobloxDev
@NE_DieSoft Great replication hack. The pendulum seems a bit off tho; an inOut sine or cubic looped between the two swing arc extents would make the acceleration feel more "gravity-ish".
@CM32Roblox @WidgeonRBLX A non-Roblox dev friend sent me that one. Replied with @WidgeonRBLX's video. Not sure where exactly his 1k hours went but props for the insane persistence. A simple drag resistance like I provided here https://t.co/erbWlOGMQQ would seem to be sufficient for golfing.
@IsThisThing_On_@TheSecondLogic @HayashiSSR @MIK0_San@aspireRBXDEV Your video demo reports 1.2m triangles, 2.5m parts, and various other particle/image counts well in the millions. How do you expect anyone to run this & how many gb of memory does it take?
@Floofy_Boof If you solve the sphere collider in all directions, not just (0,-1,0), you won't get that instant snapping up of the wheel; allowing for better integration of the spring solver. Looking good so far otherwise.
@ScriptOnRoblox If you're gonna claim someone else's code as your own; you could at least change the color of your rays. https://t.co/dhC0hyMV0y source code at: https://t.co/D2Pgn25vpy
@Real_ona2000 That's a rather difficult and complex process. While viable we've found it way easier at production scale to export and then reimport the .obj files without editing them in another program. Gives nearly the same results but only takes a few seconds.
