It feels like yesterday but it was 2018 when @POTUS HUD Secretary, Dr. Ben Carson, joined us to announce: the functional end of veteran homelessness in our community. That means when a veteran is ready for services & housing, our Continuum has a system in place to get them housed
Since then:
✅ 2,872 veterans have been housed with HUD-VASH vouchers through our partners at the Miami VA Homeless Programs.
✅ 1,729 veterans have been rapidly rehoused or prevented from becoming homeless through Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) since 2022.
