We're residents from Brunswick and Strongsville who will be greatly impacted by the forced I-71 interchange on Boston Road. Some of us will lose our homes to eminent domain. All of our property values continue to plummet every day.
SB 155 passes the Ohio Senate! Our fight isn't over, but this is a massive win for us!

@dolan4ohio was the only Senator to vote against the bill.
It's because of their voices that we can celebrate this win today. An almost unianimous vote in the Senate shows that highway interchanges should not be legislatively mandated, but should go through the MPO process that has worked in all communities for decades.
For the last year and a half the residents of Brunswick and Strongsville who live on or around Boston Road have dedicated their lives to fighting for their homes and their livelihoods in the face of possible eminent domain.
This fight is lead through a group called “Homes Not Highways” who has never been involved in government who have stepped up together against the destruction of our community. We will never quit until this destructive mandate is removed from Ohio's law. @HomesNotHighwys
Brunswick residents whose homes could be taken by eminent domain said Monday they’re consumed by anxiety over that possibility.
“I’m petrified."
“For a year and a half, I have had to think about this morning noon and night.’’

Strongsville recently authorized the massive redevelopment of South Park Mall, located at this problem intersection, to include hotels, breweries, medical facilities, ballfields, etc. -- without any plan for traffic mitigation.
