At this point I'm getting a lot less interested in proving myself/gaining accolades and a lot more interested in creating rewarding pieces of art.
Fortunately, the latter is a better motivator than the former ever was.
@illipsisHVB Maybe it's a compliment? I just don't know enough about the culture of people who genuinely thought Pass had the inferior delivery in that battle.
I'm getting tired of hearing "I'm an [idiom], like a [thing]" bars on loop forever. Especially when the connection is vague at best.
Can we switch to "it's a [thing], so I had to [idiom]" on occasion? Just to punctuate the monotony? There's more than ONE way to flip an idiom.
"one of my best friends got a closed casket
so bitch i cant rock with you
HAVE YOU EVER STARED DETH IN THE EYES
THEY AINT GIVE ME THE OPTION TO"
@JayRtheGinger WOW
Today I'm gonna watch a French-language battle (Rustique vs Wolff) with translate on and see what I think.
I'm curious how much detail the translation will actually catch in the lyrics.
@Wolff_CM@100ceanviews You've both been fire so far. Am I correct in hearing something to the effect of "Rome/Rum wasn't built in a day" in your first? And what was the meaning of the roomshaker that followed it?
@100ceanviews I've only gotten through round 1 so far but it's really delightful. The crowd feels like a perfect battle rap crowd, honestly. The event looks incredibly fun.
@100ceanviews Translation is saying "but it was a 2-for-1 chance like Adam and Eve" and I feel that's gonna be fire once I actually understand the French homonyms haha. Can you break that one down?
