Why do you remember the image of one man in front of a tank, but forget the bodies of thousands crushed under American bombs?
Because the first image serves power.
And the second indicts it.
The world has long ignored Palestinian suffering while criminalizing their right to armed self defense. Is there a more egregious combination of policies towards a besieged people? A death sentence.
Normalize Palestinian armed resistance as defined and enshrined under international law.
And then, join them.
I can no longer keep going.
Every day, I wake up and go to work. I spend long hours traveling between central Gaza and Gaza City, then spend my day surrounded by the wounded, blood, exhausted faces, and endless pain. I return home physically and emotionally drained, only to find myself far from my wife and children, who are living in a tent. I feel helpless because I cannot be with them as I should.
I work as a volunteer, holding on to the hope that one day I might earn a modest income that will help me continue. But the truth is that I feel I am losing what little strength, determination, and energy I have left. Every day I grow weaker, both mentally and physically.
After nearly two years and eight months of war, words have become incapable of describing what we are living through. There are things that photographs cannot capture, reports cannot explain, and language itself cannot express.
I want nothing more than a chance to live. I want to leave Gaza before I lose what remains of myself. I want to live a normal life, to watch my children grow up in safety, and to wake up one day without fear, anxiety, or this constant feeling of exhaustion.
I am very tired.
So tired that I no longer know how to explain the depth of this exhaustion.
Vote this govt - all 3 parties - out in Nov!
It won't be long before people die due to their austerity policies. This happened in the UK under the Tory government there. People died by starving to death.
This is not New Zealand. These are not our values.

Not only did Israel attack the US unprovoked and murder Americans, but Israel also put one of the lifeboats from the USS Liberty in its naval museum as a trophy. This history has been erased to protect Israel. Props to Thomas Massie for educating the public!
The “antisemitic message” is “Free Palestine”.
Zionists really HATE Palestinians with such a desperate, burning evil that the very thought of the natives being free sends them into convulsions.
never forget how the US used agent orange during the Vietnam War: sprayed on civillians, contaminating land, damaging ecosystems, and generations later kids are still born with disabilities linked to dioxin exposure. The US never issued a formal apology and paid compensation
Western corporate and state media journalists looked away or repeated the lies of their Zionist overlords in Gaza, claiming they had no access. In Lebanon they have full access, yet these Epstein-class employees still look away and repeat the lies. They are partners in genocide.
At just 1.5 months old, Mohammed lost his mother, his foot, and is undergoing his 3rd surgery. He needs an urgent medical evacuation outside Gaza to survive.

More than 20,000 medical referral reports remain pending for evacuation and treatment outside Gaza. For so many Gaza has become a waiting room, they are awaiting their turn for a chance to survive.

During a visit by The Sameer Project's Medical Committee to Ahmed Shawky Shelter School and Al-Noor Center, we met Ahmed Mushtaha, a child living with multiple kidney-related illnesses that require continuous monitoring, treatment, and specialized medical care.
Instead, Ahmed is growing up in displacement.
Kidney disease does not wait for a ceasefire to be taken seriously. Chronic illnesses continue to progress while children and adults alike endure overcrowded shelters, inadequate sanitation, limited medications, and a healthcare system that has been pushed beyond its limits.
Waiting. Waiting for a chance at life.
This is why The Sameer Project's Medical Committee continues to visit camps and shelters across Gaza. We are documenting cases, assessing needs, and developing plans to provide reliable, ongoing care for people living with chronic and debilitating illnesses.
Until larger solutions come, we will continue doing everything we can to ensure patients like Ahmed are seen, supported, and not forgotten. Donate to our Medical Campaign to assist: https://t.co/LLwKJegeB1
