Earlier, the APC Niger State Chapter formally presented its duly nominated flag bearers to His Excellency, Farmer Governor @HonBago, at the Government House, Minna.

It is an honour to be part of this journey as the flag bearer for Suleja, Gurara, and Tafa Federal Constituency.

In collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Power @federal_power and the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP) @nesp_nigeria, the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) @TheREANigeria was honoured to welcome the Honourable Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu @BayoAdelabu, for the commissioning of a 990kWp Interconnected Mini-Grid in Lambata Community, Gurara LGA, Niger State.

This project, implemented under the REA’s Interconnected Mini-Grid Acceleration Scheme (IMAS), is one of 19 sites under the programme and is expected to provide clean, reliable electricity to over 3,500 connections (households and businesses) in Lambata community by Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) @aedcelectricity and Nayo Tropical Technology Ltd. @nayotroptech.

The IMAS initiative, backed by €9.3 million in funding from the European Union @EUinNigeria and the German Government, is a significant step in advancing Nigeria’s interconnected mini-grid market and expanding access to sustainable energy solutions nationwide.

This milestone reinforces the REA’s commitment to scaling up renewable energy deployment, strengthening rural electrification efforts, and driving socio-economic development through clean energy access.
