He (@SolomonDalung) did the same in Nasarawa, cancelling valid votes in Karu, Nasarawa, and Toto to favor Agbazo—a move many attribute to religious bigotry.
He also sidelined Barr. @MohdHAbdullahi, the key mobilizer who built the ADC's footprint across every corner of the state.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) welcomes the prompt clarification by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which unequivocally confirmed that the document circulated by Mr. Nafiu Bala purporting to show that he had obtained the Commission's access code and uploaded candidates on behalf of the ADC for the 2027 general election was forged, and that the claim itself was entirely false.
The issue before us is no longer simply about the continuous false statements that have been issued by Nafiu Bala Gombe at the behest of his sponsors. It is about the clear and unmistakeable attempt to mislead the Nigerian public.
To publicly claim that one has gained access to INEC's restricted nomination platform and exercised powers reserved for duly recognised party officials is a grave matter that deserves the immediate attention of law enforcement agencies.
As a responsible party, the ADC therefore calls on INEC to take all the necessary steps to ensure that Mr. Nafiu Bala and anyone else involved in originating or promoting this falsehood are investigated and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) wishes to draw the attention of the media and the general public to false reports claiming that a group led by Mr. Nafiu Bala Gombe has uploaded the names of a presidential candidate and other nominees to the INEC nomination portal. The claim is a blatant lie. And it is quite easy to verify why.
INEC does not issue nomination portal access or nomination codes to a leadership it does not recognise. Secondly, the Commission will not issue two codes to the same party.
Otherwise, every impostor would simply upload names to the portal and proclaim themselves the authentic leadership of a political party. That is plainly not how the law or the Commission's processes work.
The question, therefore, is straightforward: where is the evidence of this purported upload by a group of individuals not known by law or the electoral body?
We are also, by this statement, formally drawing the attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to what appears to be the forgery and unauthorised use of documents purportedly emanating from the Commission in a manner capable of creating confusion and undermining public confidence in its integrity and reputation as Nigeria's electoral umpire.
We trust that the Commission will investigate this matter and take the necessary steps to correct this blatant misrepresentation.

The way Dangote is defeating petrol issue in Nigeria, may we have another person who will defeat electricity problem and deal with all the sabotage.
Call it monopoly. We like it, if it brings stable electricity.
Cutting the Head of the Snake
Nigeria’s insecurity crisis has dragged on for more than a decade, not because the country lacks brave soldiers, but because the real engine of violence the sponsors, financiers, and hidden beneficiaries remains untouched. Eliminating ground level terrorists may deliver temporary calm, but as long as those who fund, train, and strategically direct them remain active, the cycle simply regenerates. You can kill the foot soldiers, but another wave will rise as long as the brain of the operation remains intact.
History shows this clearly. Pablo Escobar wasn’t merely a drug lord; he was the head of an economic and political ecosystem. The Colombian government learned that dismantling his foot soldiers did nothing, his network simply replenished them. Only when Escobar himself was neutralized did the cartel structure collapse. The same principle applies: no system dies until its architect falls.
In Nigeria, the challenge is not locating bandits in the bush it is identifying those who empower them. Terrorists rarely operate at random. They attack regions where valuable resources, mineral deposits, and strategic interests exist, places like Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, Benue and, Maiduguri. This pattern is not coincidence. Follow the gold, follow the land conflicts, follow the illicit mining routes and you follow the money. Follow the money long enough, and you eventually reach a sponsor.
If the DSS or other intelligence units cannot identify these financiers, then the question becomes unavoidable: Are they overwhelmed, under resourced, compromised, or simply unwilling? The methods exist financial tracking, communications analysis, infiltration, satellite monitoring. So why does the chain remain unbroken?
Negotiating with terrorists only worsens the problem. Once one group gains rewards through violence, others feel emboldened to replicate the strategy. Concessions become incentives, not solutions.
To truly solve this crisis, Nigeria must shift from a ground level war to an upper tier dismantling strategy: expose the money trail, disrupt the leadership networks, prosecute collaborators in government, and seal the mineral resource loopholes that fuel the violence. Only by cutting the head of the snake, not merely stepping on its tail, can the nation end the cycle and restore long term security.
Nigeria breathes easier when we stand together. The violence tearing through our communities is not a genocide against Christians or Muslims, but a tragedy against humanity itself. Let’s refuse the fear, reject the division, and hold on to the harmony that has always carried us. United, we can face the real enemy: the insecurity threatening us all.
