To H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni,@KagutaMuseveni
With profound respect, I extend my warmest congratulations on your swearing-in for the 2026–2031 presidential term. May this new chapter usher in greater peace, transformative progress, and lasting prosperity for all Ugandans.
It is with deep sorrow that I mourn the passing of Hon. Mutiti Jonathan Nyendwoha, former Member of Parliament for Buliisa County in the 8th Parliament. My sincere condolences go to his family, Bagungu community, and all those affected by this loss.
May he rest in eternal peace.
We have done a clear diagnosis of the problem of Uganda (Africa) and we have got a clear prescription for this problem, @KagutaMuseveni says during his interaction with Sebei journalists as he answers a question on why he is the best candidate for the presidency. #ProtectingTheGains
President @KagutaMuseveni opens his interaction by explaining why peace is very important for the country's development and wealth creation. He cites the example of Kapchorwa growing so much Irish potatoes. However, without peace the potatoes wouldn't reach the market. He also says the army has so far recovered 41,000 guns from Karamoja. This figure is far higher than what Amin's army had. #ProtectingTheGains
Africa’s greatest challenge is not poverty, it’s the colonial mindset. Our systems of education, religion, law, politics, currency, and governance still mirror foreign models. True liberation demands a paradigm shift and mindset change where Africans define progress by our own values, realities, and vision. #AfricaReawakening
Together with the RDC and Deputy DISO, held a productive meeting with @NRMOnline Sub County and Town Council Chairmen and Main Stream members to strengthen structures of our mighty Party in Buliisa District.

In Pajule, Pader District this afternoon, I continued to outline the NRM gains and plans for the next term, if entrusted with the mandate. I reminded our people: “Seek ye first homestead income, the rest will be added unto you” The roads, electricity and other forms of infrastructure are not the medicine for poverty. The medicine for poverty is household income.
Additionally, prioritising in national development is key. Unlike those who want to tackle everything at once and achieve little, the NRM sets clear priorities.
The Balaalo who used to disturb our people in this area were backward then, and even now still face some problems. But at least, in the cattle and milk industry, they have greatly improved.

Museveni opens Uganda Development Finance Summit, calls for vision, integrity, patient capital
@KagutaMuseveni: "As a strategist, I can tell you that integration of the African market is a matter of life and death. Without a big market, you cannot grow. That is the difference between the United States and Latin America. Latin America has water, minerals, everything, but remains poor because of market fragmentation."

I have met with the candidates for the position of NRM Chairperson of the Entrepreneurs League. They have agreed to unconditionally endorse Al Hajj Hassan Basajjabalaba, who is now unopposed.
First, I would like to thank Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa for bringing these factions together and thank all the aspirants for their foresight. As I often say, it is not just about who is in the position, but what can be achieved. I congratulate Al Hajji Basajjabalaba and commend the other candidates for their selfless act.
During the NEC conference, the NRM old debate about the equality of members- old and new- came up again. Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga brought up the issue of longevity of membership in the NRM. We had actually addressed this issue long ago.
Strategically, it would be insulting and repulsive to have two types of members: the old and the new. How can you treat People who come to re-inforce you as if they are squatters?
If the senior members of the NRM prioritize the Kukyenuura of the People (solving the People’s problems using the Government programmes of PDM, Emyooga, etc.), there is no way the new comers can outshine them.

We must condemn the dishonesty and self-interest evident in the recent primaries & the conflict between Mr. Bitariho's and Mr. Kigongo's supporters. As young people, it's your responsibility to ensure a peaceful future for your children. Let's promote lasting peace and humility.
