Lamu town was awash in yellow on Sunday during the homecoming celebrations of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Second Deputy Party Leader, Governor Issa Timamy.

Governor Timamy ascended to the position of Deputy Party Leader of UDA following the dissolution of Amani National Congress (ANC).

The event was graced by UDA Secretary General Senator Hassan Omar, who was accompanied by Deputy Executive Director Brian Mbugua and other officials from the party's secretariat.

Senator Omar emphasized that the first step to ending marginalization is representation, noting that President William Ruto has broken the cycle of exclusion, now ensuring that minorities and coastal communities are well-represented in government.

Governor Timamy, in turn, expressed gratitude to President Ruto for fostering unity among Kenyans, transcending ethnicity, religion, and financial status.

Other leaders, including Hon. Ali Wario (Garsen), Hon. Kassim Tandaza (Matuga), and Hon. Ruweida Mohammed (Lamu East), were also present to join in the celebrations.
