Read. This.
All of it.
If you’re one who says, “oh, I’m not political…”
Read. This.
If you’re one who says, “Government can’t really impact my world…”
Read. This. …and see what this government has done to meaningfully *harm* your world, and that of your children.
What a list. A specific, lengthy, utterly unnecessary list.
A list captured by the man who faced a similar list in 2001 and knows both the size & dizzying complexity of the mess that’s been created by David Eby…. And that it can be fixed.
That it *must* be.

To our dedicated volunteers, team members, my campaign co-chairs - Dianne Watts, Ed Fast, and Teresa Wat - and the respected leaders who endorsed me: thank you from the bottom of my heart.
When this campaign launched in January, the room was filled with hope, optimism, and a shared belief that British Columbia can do better.
Since then, I have been humbled by the members, volunteers, supporters, and new friends who have stepped forward, worked hard, and helped carry our message of change and prosperity across this beautiful province.
I am deeply grateful to each and every one of you.
Together, we will get B.C. back on track.
It’s time to defeat the NDP and take back our province.
But first, we have a choice to make in this leadership race.
Do we want to take a RISK?
Or do we want someone who is READY?
This race is about "risk versus ready" - and I am READY.
Experience matters. I am ready to lead this party. Ready to unite our caucus. Ready to present a BOLD Five-Point Premier’s Plan that includes a 20% personal income tax cut to put more money back in YOUR pocket.
Most importantly, I am ready to WIN.
Voting opens Saturday morning. I am asking for your #1 spot on the ballot - and I would be grateful for your consideration as your #2 choice.
Together, we will get BC back on track. https://t.co/uiQHESGvVr
WOW! What an energizing evening last night in White Rock!
We had thoughtful questions on seniors, repealing DRIPA, the broken education system, housing, infrastructure, health care, and public safety - especially the mess created by the NDP - and it made one thing very clear:
This race is about RISK versus READY.
I am READY to LEAD with my bold Five-Point Premier’s Plan - a plan that will cut taxes, restore safety, rebuild trust, and deliver real solutions for people across British Columbia.
Thank you, White Rock. I was inspired by the opportunity to share my solutions, hear directly from you, and talk about the future we can build together.
Together, we will get BC back on track. https://t.co/uiQHESGvVr
URGENT: Verification Deadline Tomorrow at 11:59 pm!
I will cut your taxes as part of my Five-Point Premier’s Plan - but first, I need your help.
The voter verification deadline is Wednesday, May 20th at 11:59 pm.
You must be verified in order to vote in this leadership race.
If you have any questions or need help completing the process, please contact my team right away at [email protected]. We respond to every message and we are here to help.
Together, we will win this leadership race, win the next general election, and get British Columbia back on track.
Experience matters. Let’s go win! https://t.co/uiQHESGvVr
Out of the room, out of the deal. Today, Alberta and the federal government signed an MOU and once again, David Eby was not at the table.
BC needs grown-up leadership that will create jobs, attract investment, and secure our economic future.
I will cut your taxes and make sure BC has a seat at the table.
Please make sure you are verified to vote. I would be grateful for your #1 vote and appreciative of your consideration for #2.

I enjoyed the conversations I’ve had with members across Northern B.C. and the Interior over the past several days. It has been inspiring to meet so many passionate conservatives as we helped people get verified to vote and discussed my Five-Point Premier’s Plan - including my commitment to a 20% personal income tax cut for British Columbians.
A special thank you to the Canadian Country Music Hall of Honour in Merritt for the warm welcome and hospitality.
Experience matters at this time. I am the only candidate in this race with both corporate and government leadership experience as a former Cabinet minister and CEO - someone who can unite the party, defeat the NDP, and help restore hope, confidence, and prosperity across British Columbia.
Please make sure you get verified to vote. And when the time comes, I would be grateful for your #1 support on the ballot and appreciative of your consideration for your #2 as well.
Together we will get B.C. back on track - and let’s end on a high note!

WOW!!
This is so well said, @iainblackbc. Thank you for standing by @PeterMilobar and Lianne, who is an absolute SAINT!
This repeated pattern of behaviour has led me to move KFL to permanent fourth place on my ballot, just ahead of Yuri Fulmer.
NEW: BC Conservative leadership candidate @iainblackbc torches rival @KerryLynneFindl for failing her own conservative purity test with newly discovered donations to the federal Liberal party.
Today, I’m proud to stand alongside my friend of more than 20 years, the Honourable Yonah Martin, as she officially endorses me to become the next leader of the Conservative Party of BC and the next Premier of British Columbia.
Yonah has spent decades serving Canadians with integrity, principle, and leadership. Her support means a great deal to me.
We share a deep belief in servant leadership, and we both know that experience matters, especially at a time like this. I’m grateful for her confidence in the vision we’ve put forward, and in my Five-Point Premier’s Plan to get British Columbia Back on Track.
If you’d like to learn more about my plan and how I will deliver real solutions for British Columbians please visit: https://t.co/uiQHESGvVr
💯
Bravo, and thank you to @PierrePoilievre and @CPC_HQ MP’s for this. I hope the government MP’s see the non-partisan wisdom in this and support it.
Every step to restore B.C. as a destination for badly needed investment & job creation is a solid step, indeed.
And good on them for calling out the B.C. NDP for deliberately giving government lawyers direction to withhold the crucial, and expected “extinguishment” legal argument when defending the interests of 5.7 million British Columbians.
The NDP giving such direction is a betrayal of our citizens, and an utter abdication of responsibility.
As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Expo, I was touched and humbled to receive a special email today; an endorsement from an elder statesman of BC, and an icon of Kamloops politics, itself.
18 years of distinguished service, serving under 4 premiers. A former Speaker of the Legislature. The minister responsible for Expo ‘86: the event that put B.C. on the global map and arguably paved the way for BC to credibly bid on the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
And a fine man, who “taught me the ropes” when I was the youngest MLA & youngest cabinet minister in Gordon Campbell’s government all those years ago.
Thanks, Claude.

I have been following the competition for the next leader of the BC Conservative Party very closely, and I have reached a clear conclusion.
There is only one person truly qualified for the job: Iain Black.
He has the knowledge, the experience, and the courage needed to bring British Columbia back to where it should be.
It will take a strong and capable leader to clean up the mess left behind by the NDP. Anyone who takes the time to read Iain’s plan will see that he has addressed all the key issues. Government spending will be brought under control, an unnecessarily bloated cabinet will be reduced to what is essential, and there will be no more wasteful giveaways.
I was in provincial government for many years, most of them at the cabinet table. When Iain joined us there, it was immediately clear to me that he had what it takes. The other candidates in the race are good and sincere people, I am sure, and they mean well—but the real question is whether they can deliver the results British Columbians need starting day one. Iain also has the character and acumen to navigate the province through future events we cannot foresee.
This time, we must vote for the leader who can back up his promises with real action. Iain Black is that leader. His track record at the Vancouver Board of Trade, along with his many successes in the private sector, speaks for itself.
I urge all Conservatives to take a close and serious look at Iain Black’s plan. I am confident that when you do, you will see—just as I have—that he is the leader we need at this critical time.
Sincerely,
Claude Richmond
Ex Minister of Tourism (including Expo 86), Social Services and Housing, Forestry, Speaker of the Legislature, and ex-Minister of Unemployment and Income assistance.
This is Straight to the Point, a direct, unedited conversation with @iainblackbc where we cut the fluff and get into the hard questions, many of them submitted by you.
Where do you stand on Iain after this? #bcpoli
DRIPA will be repealed, but EXPERIENCE MATTERS for what comes next.
I am the only candidate who has contemplated and has the experience to deal with the next steps BEYOND DRIPA.
Vote for me. Join a winning campaign. Let’s go! https://t.co/04cUbFrRiN
Two days. That’s all that’s left to help decide the future of this race and the future of British Columbia.
This isn’t a moment to sit back and watch. It’s a moment to step in.
Every membership matters. Every single one. In a race like this, it comes down to who shows up and who brings others with them.
I’ve said from day one: experience matters. This is not an entry-level job, and we cannot afford to get this wrong. But none of it matters unless you’re in.
If you’ve been thinking about it, this is the time.
Join today. Bring a friend. Make sure your voice is counted. https://t.co/vO2XGjPdw6
‘British Columbia does not need a learning curve - it needs leadership” - James Moore
I am honoured to have the endorsement of the Honourable James Moore and grateful for his expression of confidence in me.
As a former senior Federal Conservative Cabinet James understands what this moment requires.
As he said, ‘Iain Black has the right mix of experience in government and the private sector, and I do not believe being Premier of this province is a rookie job. Experience matters - and Iain Black is ready.’
James and I share a deep commitment to getting British Columbia back on track - and that’s exactly what I intend to do.
