I'm watching Baba's interview, and I can't help but read through a man who appreciates the difficult decisions President William Ruto was faced with immediately when he settled at Statehouse.

I can see a man who understands the limited options the president had as far as the stabilization of the economy was concerned.

I'm listening to a man who concedes that the decision by President Ruto to minimize borrowing and lower the budget deficit saved this country.

I'm watching a man who yields that the program of subsidized fertilizers was a game changer that ensured food security in the country.

I see a man instinctively true to himself but has a difficult choice of pleasing his following.
