ODM Women League strategic meeting with Western Kenya women leaders from Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga, TransNzoia and Busia. The purpose of this meeting is to do a post election review of 2022 and also to activate the party in the Region.

KEWOPA members also shared key barriers that prevent women from being elected into political office and key proposals and strategies that would mainstream women's political participation to attain gender parity in the houses of Parliament.

Article 118 of the Constitution mandates Parliament to facilitate public participation. This means that citizens get involved in policy-making and implementation of bills and deepens good governance, promotes transparency and fosters accountability.
The National Cohesion, Equal opportunity and Regional Integration yesterday held a public participation meetings in Ntoroni and Turima wards in Tharaka Nithi County to ensure the same.
Earlier today I joined my fellow @KEWOPA leaders ,where we visited Langata Women Prison on Mother's Day & facilitated release of 56 Women inmates on petty crimes.We also donated mattresses, blankets, sanitary pads, toothpaste, sanitizers & many more as gifts to women in prison
