Yesterday, Thursday evening, I paid a condolence visit to Tpl. Innocent Isiagu (FNITP), Director, Town Planning, STDD, FCTA, following the passing of his beloved wife.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to him and his family during this difficult period.

May God grant her eternal rest and comfort the family. May He give them strength and peace during this difficult time.

Wike’s Vision in Action: Kuje-Gwagwalada Phase 2 Road Project

In line with the vision and commitment of the hardworking FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, I inspected this evening the ongoing Kuje–Gwagwalada Phase 2 Road Project.

The project reflects the FCT Administration’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Upon completion, it will improve connectivity, ease transportation, reduce travel time, enhance access to communities, and boost economic activities within the area.

The project is progressing steadily and is expected to be commissioned by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in January 2027 upon completion.

This project is a clear testament to the visionary leadership and commitment of the FCT Minister, His Excellency, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, to transforming the FCT through quality and impactful infrastructure.

2026/2028 STDD, FCTA WASTE EVACUATION AND SANITATION PROGRAMME

The 2026/2028 Waste Evacuation and Sanitation Programme of the Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD), FCTA, has commenced across the Federal Capital Territory.

The programme, which commenced on Tuesday, 1st September 2026, is being implemented in line with the vision and directive of the Honourable Minister of the FCT, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, and in furtherance of the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

Several contractors have mobilised to various locations across the six Area Councils and selected Satellite Towns of the FCT to undertake waste evacuation, litter control, vegetation control, environmental sanitation, and the maintenance of designated dumpsites.

Under the purposeful and visionary leadership of the Honourable FCT Minister, the initiative demonstrates the commitment of the FCT Administration to sustaining a clean, healthy and environmentally friendly capital city, while improving the quality of life for residents across the Territory.

In line with the vision of my mentor and leader, the hardworking FCT Minister, H.E. Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, I inspected the ongoing Apo-Karshi Road project this evening a remarkable testament to his purposeful leadership, commitment and delivery of quality infrastructure in the FCT.

The project reflects the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and is expected to be commissioned by Mr. President in January 2027.

On Thursday, 27th August 2026, I held a strategic engagement with waste management contractors operating across the six Area Councils of the FCT to clarify their responsibilities and the expectations of the Administration.

I charged them to approach their duties with seriousness, professionalism and commitment, stressing the need for effective and timely waste evacuation in line with the directive of the Honourable Minister of the FCT, Bar. Nyesom Wike, CON, towards maintaining clean, healthy and green communities in keeping with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

I also emphasised that payments will be tied to satisfactory performance and work duly executed, while urging all contractors to uphold accountability and efficiency.

Full scale waste evacuation across the Area Councils is scheduled to commence on 1st September 2026.

I sincerely appreciate my mentor and leader, the Honourable Minister, for his steadfast commitment to transforming the FCT. I remain deeply committed to supporting and advancing his vision for a cleaner and better FCT.

Today, we continued the waste evacuation exercise in Gwagwalada as part of our efforts to keep communities across the FCT clean and healthy.

This is in line with the directive of the Honourable Minister of the FCT, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, and his commitment to a cleaner and better FCT.

I appeal to residents to support the exercise by disposing of their waste properly and keeping their surroundings clean.

Today: Inspection of the Ongoing Apo-Karshi and Kubwa-Bwari Road Projects

Today, the hardworking Honourable Minister of the FCT, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, inspected the ongoing projects along the Apo–Karshi and Kubwa–Bwari Roads.

During the inspection, I gave the Honourable Minister an update on the progress of the projects so far. These important projects reflect his strong commitment to delivering quality infrastructure, improving connectivity, and opening up communities across the FCT.

The projects further demonstrate the practical impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Honourable Minister’s determination to translate this vision into meaningful development for the people of the Federal Capital Territory.

Today, I supervised the ongoing waste evacuation exercise at Jikwoyi Phase 1, along the Nyanya-Karshi Road, as part of STDD, FCTA’s waste removal efforts across the six Area Councils of the FCT.

The exercise is being carried out in line with the directive of the hardworking Honourable Minister of the FCT, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, and in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda for a cleaner and greener FCT.

The operation will continue across other locations. I urge residents to dispose of waste responsibly, keep drainage channels clear, and avoid indiscriminate dumping.

The Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD), FCTA, has commenced a waste evacuation exercise across the six Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory, in line with the directive of the hardworking Honorable Minister of the FCT, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, and in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda for a cleaner and greener FCT.

I have directed the Acting Director of Environmental Services, Engr. Hassan Dogondaji, and his team to intensify the exercise. Waste evacuation has so far been carried out in Karu, Karshi and Kurudu, with operations continuing to Orozo, Jikwoyi and other locations across the six Area Councils.

I urge residents to support these efforts by disposing of waste responsibly, keeping drainages clear, and refraining from dumping refuse on roads and waterways, particularly to help mitigate the risk of flooding.

A clean and safe environment is a collective responsibility.

Yesterday, I joined my friend and former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, alongside other distinguished personalities and stakeholders at the kick-off of the Chairman’s Cup Football Competition in Kwali Town, Kwali Area Council, FCT, hosted by the Kwali Area Council Chairman.

I commend the organisers for this commendable initiative, which promotes youth development, grassroots sports and talent discovery, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, under the visionary leadership of the FCT Minister, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON
