While sitting on a plane yesterday and writing in my journal I came up with these thoughts after a phone conversation with my Dad…..

One thing you realize as you get older is that beauty has very little to do with appearance. It's not in perfect features, polished words, or how someone presents themselves to the world. Those things might catch your attention, but they don't hold real weight over time. What stays with you is how someone makes people feel.
It's in the way they show up for others when it's not convenient. In how they choose kindness even when they don't have to.
Real beauty is found in the way someone loves, honestly, consistently, and without conditions. It's in the quiet care, the respect they give, and the empathy they carry. In how they treat people who have nothing to offer them in return. Because at the end of the day, looks may fade and words may be forgotten. But the way someone treats others will always be what defines them.

This could also be the definition of my wife Karla.
